Sabine is founder of Atelier Favela. As an industrial designer, teacher in Visual and artist herselve she knows how to inspire the people around her. With a lot of passions she runs the studio, first in Brazil, right now in Nicaragua. The work with the children, to see them developing, makes her shine!
Jean has been travelling the last 10 years before he started to join Atelier Favela. His lessons are about Afro Culture, Capoeira, Percussion and Muculelé. But het also has a lot of experience with Arts & Crafts techniques as a travelling Artist. From Silversmith to Macramé even Fireshows, Jean has done it all! This makes him a wide experienced teacher for his students, the adolescents who learn to make the Bolsa de Bota BAG. Jean grew up in Venezuela, in a situation very similar to the public of Atelier Favela. This fact makes that Jean has a really special bond with his students. Jean and Sabine are expecting really soon their youngest 'creation' of Atelier Favela.
