The studio of Atelier Favela is besides a place for the kids of Ticuantepe to do the cultural activities also a place for you to develop your artistic skills. Every morning there is time to have individual art lessons, like painting and drawing.
We can offer a individual program, just let us know your whishes. Lessons we offer:
Drawing lessons:
- lessons that will include the theoretical background information of lines, composition, perspective, shadows and colors. Different themes as figure drawing, still life and landscape will be introduced. You will see that in a few lessons you can make a lot of progress. Different materials will be used; graphite pencil, conté crayon and pencil, soft crayon pastels and India ink. Also different kind of paper sorts will be used, to learn to work besides with white backgrounds also with coloured ones. The lessons can be inside and outside.
Watercolor painting:
- lessons in which you will learn the basic techniques of watercolour paint, we will also include theory about colors. (This will be an excelent preparation for later on oil techniques and acrylic painting.)
Painting lessons:
You will learn how to prepare your canvas and how to start and execute your painting. In the learning proces we can start with a reduced color palette, the use of different background colors, to finish with a full color palette. This can be in oil or in acrylic paint. We can focus on different themes as portret painting, figure painting, landscape or stil life. Feel free to paint what inspires you, in the style that combines with you. This could also be for example abstract painting. We will guide you through your proces of development.
Lessons of 1 hour and 30 minutes are €20,00 per person, including materials and use of the studio. During the lessons you will get personal guiding.
We can also help you out with painting materials to work besides the lessons we offer. You can order painting materials with us, or we can give you tips on which painting or drawing tools are a good investment.
